Welcome to Miss Lori’s Children’s Clothing Exchange!
Whether you’re a first-time attendee or a long-time supporter, we’re excited to have you join us for this free community event where families can share and receive gently used children's clothing. Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of the event!
The Basics of the Event
Our clothing exchange is all about supporting families in our community. We believe that every child deserves access to clothing without the stress of high prices. Here’s how it works:
Bring what you can, take what you need – This is a clothing swap event, so please bring your gently used children’s clothes and exchange them for something in your child’s current size. Don’t have anything to donate? No problem! You can still take what you need.
Size Breakdown – We accept clothing for children ranging from Newborn to Children’s XL. Make sure to sort and label your donations by size and gender to help us keep the event organized.
Fabulous Fun Freebies!
The Community Corner is a great place to meet local businesses who’ve signed up to bring you fun freebies, exciting raffles, and some awesome large giveaways! It’s a perfect way to connect with the businesses in your area and get a little something extra while you’re enjoying the event.
The Community Corner
In addition to the clothing swap, we’re thrilled to feature our Community Corner. This area is dedicated to local businesses that want to showcase their products and services to our event attendees. It’s a great way for local businesses to support families and gain exposure in the community!
No selling, just giveaways – Businesses will raffle off large items, provide goodie bags, or give out samples. The focus is on engagement, not sales.
Free to participate – It’s all about the community, and no one should feel pressured to buy anything. Businesses can share their brand with the families attending, but there’s no selling involved.
Kid-friendly fun
While we encourage leaving the kiddos at home for a smooth shopping experience, we know sometimes that's not an option. No worries – we’ve got you covered! Our awesome high school volunteers will be running the Kid’s Korner, where your little ones can enjoy fun activities and sensory play while you browse.
Kid-Friendly Atmosphere
We want everyone to enjoy the event! While we encourage parents to leave children at home if possible so they can shop freely, we make sure the event is fun and welcoming for little ones too.
Kid-friendly fun – We have a dedicated area for kids with volunteers to watch them while parents are shopping. There will be toys, games, and other activities to keep them entertained.
Safety – Everyone who attends must sign a waiver, and children must be with a parent or guardian at all times. We want the event to be safe and enjoyable for everyone!
How to Prepare
To make the day run smoothly, here’s how you can prepare:
Organize your clothing – Sort your donations by size and gender before arriving to make the process easier for everyone.
Bring a bag or box – You’ll need something to carry the clothes you take home. A reusable shopping bag or box works great!
ID and Waivers – Make sure to bring a valid ID. We’ll have waivers on hand for you to sign when you arrive.
